Casual golf fans might not know the name Moe Norman, but to some of the greatest golfers in history, he was among the greatest to ever strike a ball. Tiger Woods has talked extensively about Moe Norman, including stating that "only two golfers have ever truly owned their swings: Moe Norman and Ben Hogan." Sam Snead called Norman "the greatest striker of the ball." Norman briefly tried to play on the PGA Tour, but returned home to Canada due to extreme shyness and reported bullying that he was receiving from the other golfers. While in Canada, Norman won 54 tournaments and set 33 course records.

Offered here are Moe Norman's personal set of Ben Hogan Apex Edge irons. 3 iron through 9 iron, and Equalizer. Significant lead tape on the clubs. These clubs originate from Moe Norman's longtime friend, right hand man, and Canadian golf legend Nick Westlock. Westlock was the pro at Carlyle Golf & Country Club, where Norman could be find almost every day towards the end his life. Westlock gave these Hogan irons to Moe Norman during the last year of Norman's life, and they were returned to Westlock by Norman's wife after Norman passed away in September 2004. According to Westlock's letter, he believes this may have been the last set of irons that Moe Norman owned.
