The Ryder Cup
1999 Ryder Cup Official Poster
Signed by Winning U.S. Team
(w/ Crenshaw Letter)
The 1999 Ryder Cup is far and away the most famous (and, therefore, collectible)
Ryder Cup tournament in recent memory. The United States team faced a seemingly
insurmountable deficit going into the Sunday matches. Everyone knows how this
story ends - Justin Leonard sunk a 45-foot putt to win the Ryder Cup for the
Americans.
Presented
here is the actual team-signed official poster that was presented to players at
the 1999 Ryder Cup. The entire United States team has signed this rare poster,
including Tiger Woods, Captain Ben Crenshaw and, yes, the hero of the day,
Justin Leonard.
This great
piece comes with a letter of authenticity from Ben Crenshaw's agent and manager,
Scott Sayers. The only other example of this highly sought-after poster that we
have seen come up for sale sold for $3,530 in our August 2011 Golf Auction. The poster measures 24 1/2" x 32 1/2"
