1986 US Open Souvenir Flag

(Shinnecock Hills)

            This is a very hard to find souvenir flag from the 1986 U.S. Open, which was held at Shinnecock. This flag is widely believed to be the first souvenir flag ever sold at a Major Championship (though we curiously have a 1985 U.S. Open flag in this auction, which we have not been able to fully identify yet). This flag is in excellent condition.
