Al Geiberger's 59 Round Scorecard

Plaque from Sponsor

The "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger Collection

In this auction, we have the extreme pleasure of offering virtually the entire collection of "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger. Ryan and Bob recently flew out to Palm Springs to shoot Mr. Geiberger and his collection for the Pilot episode of a new reality TV show based on Green Jacket Auctions. While we were there, Al Geiberger decided that rather than continuing to keep his collection packed away in a California storage facility, he felt that it was his duty to share his memorabilia with the world. Nothing was off limits to Green Jacket Auctions. We came home with some of the most historic pieces of golf memorabilia that we have ever offered, including Al Geiberger's Wannamaker Trophy and his actual golf clubs from the 59 Round. We hope that you enjoy viewing - and bidding on - the "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger collection.

59 Round Scorecard Plaque

Sybervision's historic Al Geiberger training video is widely considered the greatest golf training device of all-time - having sold over 1 million copies and named by Golf Digest in 2004 as the most effective golf training aid in history.

Offered here is the original plaque that Geiberger's sponsor Sybervision presented him for his PGA Tour Record 59 Round. The plaque, which contains a replication of Geiberger's 59 Scorecard, states: "For as long as the game is played, June 10, 1977 will be etched in the annals of golf history. On that day, Al Geiberger became the first golfer to ever score a 59 - the lowest round ever played on the PGA tour. Sports Illustrated called Geiberger's feat "one of the most significant athletic achievements of the century". This 59 Round plaque comes with a letter of authenticity from Al Geiberger himself.
