Al Geiberger's Putter
Used to Win 1966 PGA Championship
The
"Mr. 59" Al Geiberger Collection
In this auction, we have the extreme pleasure of offering virtually the entire
collection of "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger. Ryan and Bob recently flew out to Palm
Springs to shoot Mr. Geiberger and his collection for the Pilot episode of a new
reality TV show based on Green Jacket Auctions. While we were there, Al
Geiberger decided that rather than continuing to keep his collection packed away
in a California storage facility, he felt that it was his duty to share his
memorabilia with the world. Nothing was off limits to Green Jacket
Auctions. We came home with some of the most historic pieces of golf memorabilia
that we have ever offered, including Al Geiberger's Wannamaker Trophy and his
actual golf clubs from the 59 Round. We hope that you enjoy viewing - and
bidding on - the "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger collection.
1966
PGA Championship Winning Putter
Offered here is Al
Geiberger's actual putter that he used during the 4 rounds of his 1966 PGA
Championship victory at Firestone Country Club in Ohio. This putter was used by
Mr. Geiberger for approximately 2 years, including in all 4 Major Championships.
Interestingly, Al did not set aside his driver, 3 wood or golf bag from the 1966
PGA Championship, so this putter and the irons offered separately in Lot ___ are
the only tournament-used memorabilia from Al Geiberger's 1966 PGA Championship
win that still exist.
Al
Geiberger's Tournament-Used 1966 PGA Championship putter is being auctioned by Al Geiberger himself, and comes
with a letter of authenticity from Al Geiberger.
