Original May 1985 Golf Digest Artwork

        This original painting by Marcus Hamilton of Dennis the Menace fame (Took over the comic strip from Hank Ketchum in October 1995) adorned the pages of Golf Digest in its May 1985 issue. The image portrays 4 Augusta National members who created famous courses with the vision of ANGC in mind. These members and their courses, Jack Lupton (Honors Course), Hall Thompson (Shoal Creek), John Williams (The Golf Club of Oklahoma) and Jack Vickers (Castle Pines) are immortalized in granite, ala Mt Rushmore overlooking the beautiful ANGC clubhouse.

This original artwork measures 30x20 with the painted image measuring 25 1/2" x 17. Included in this lot is a mint copy of the May 1985 Golf Digest Magazine in which this image was published.
