In this auction, we have the extreme pleasure of offering virtually the entire collection of "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger. Ryan and Bob recently flew out to Palm Springs to shoot Mr. Geiberger and his collection for the Pilot episode of a new reality TV show based on Green Jacket Auctions. While we were there, Al Geiberger decided that rather than continuing to keep his collection packed away in a California storage facility, he felt that it was his duty to share his memorabilia with the world. Nothing was off limits to Green Jacket Auctions. We came home with some of the most historic pieces of golf memorabilia that we have ever offered, including Al Geiberger's Wannamaker Trophy and his actual golf clubs from the 59 Round. Ben Hogan Award - Bronze Statue

Presented here is the original Ben Hogan Award that was presented to Al Geiberger for Comeback Player of the Year in 1982. In 1980, Geiberger had seemingly career-ending surgery. Despite this fact, Geiberger was back on the PGA Tour a year later and went on to experience a highly successful Senior PGA Tour career, winning 10 times. This solid bronze 1982 Ben Hogan Award is huge - it measures 18" tall and weighs 10 1/2 pounds. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Al Geiberger himself.
