Ben Hogan
1927 Tommy Armour
Iconic Swing Pose Wire Photo
As you've no doubt seen by now, this Winter Golf
Auction by Green Jacket Auctions represents one of the greatest sales of golf
photographs in history. From Old Tom Morris & the origins of professional golf
to Bobby Jones & the founding of Augusta National, many of the offered
photographs are among the finest such examples in the hobby.
This is an original 1927 photograph
of the legendary Tommy Armour demonstrating his iconic swing for the camera.
This is an early image of Armour, as he had only been a professional for a short
time when this photo was taken. At the time of this photo, Armour had just come
off his first Major victory at the U.S. Open.
The 8"x10" photograph looks great and
condition is quite nice with note to some light pinholes. Reverse has a pencil
identification and two stamps from NEA.
