Commemorative Loblolly Pine Stump
Presented here is a piece of Augusta National memorabilia that we've never seen
before. This is a piece of an actual Loblolly Pine Tree from Augusta National's
10th Hole. Apparently, after a storm fell the tree in 1990, Augusta National
turned pieces of the tree into these impressive paperweights, which were gifts
at "Washington's Birthday Party" in 1992. We actually don't know the exact
reason for Augusta National celebrating George Washington's Birthday with a 4
day party, but this is a special keepsake from that event.
This original Augusta National loblolly pine tree piece would look good on any
golf collector's desk. It measures 4 3/4" in diameter, and is 7/8" thick, and
makes a better paperweight than anything else we can think of!
