Gene Sarazen's Shoes from
Sarazen Bridge Dedication
On April 6th, 1955, on the
20th anniversary of the great double eagle that propelled Gene to victory, the
bridge to the 15th green was dedicated and named as "The Sarazen Bridge." These
are the exact Etonic dress loafers worn by "The Squire" on that special day. The
shoes are sized at 8 1/2 D and were resoled and heeled during his lifetime.
Comes with magazine photo page showing Gene Sarazen wearing these exact shoes.
These shoes were obtained directly from the Gene Sarazen estate.
Letter of Authenticity from Prominent Golf Historian and Collector Mark Emerson, who for several years has been advising and assisting the heirs of Hall of Fame golfer Gene Sarazen in the proper disposition of his private personal memorabilia and comes directly from the Sarazen estate.
