Ed Dudley's 1976 LA Open
Past Champion's Award
The LA Open has always been one of the most popular stops on the PGA Tour.
Presented here is the actual Past Champions' trophy awarded to formed Augusta
National head pro Ed Dudley, who won the 1931 LA Open. The 1931 LA Open was the
6th of Dudley's 15 PGA Tour victories.
This exquisite award was
presented to Dudley's family (Dudley passed away in 1963) in 1976 to commemorate
the 50th Anniversary of the LA Open.
The medallion on
this trophy measures 4" in diameter, and weighs over 17 ounces. All LA Champions
from 1926 to 1975 are represented on the back of this trophy.
