1934 Bobby Jones Masters Wire Photo

       This is an exceptionally rare original photograph of Bobby Jones putting on the 9th green at the Inaugural Masters Tournament in 1934.

        Original 1st generation photographs of Bobby Jones at the 1934 Masters Tournament are very rare, as few originals exist, even for some of Jones' most famous images.

        Those with an advanced knowledge of the history of Augusta National and the Masters will note that 1934 is the only year where the Masters Tournament was conducted with the 9 holes reversed. Therefore, Bobby Jones is shown here on the 9th green, which is what we know today as the 18th green.
