1964 Arnold Palmer Wire Photo

         Well, this is certainly the earliest photograph of Arnold Palmer that we've ever offered.

        Presented here is a scarce original wire photograph of a 16 year old "lad" (as the news service refers to him) named Arnold Palmer. The baby faced Palmer is photographed here at the 1946 William Randolf Hearst Junior Golf Tournament. Simply amazing!

        The photograph measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/2". Photo contains some creasing, but still displays well. Reverse of photo contains some incredible original wire service names and stamps. It should be noted that while the wire service text on back says that Palmer is 17 in this photo, Palmer was born on September 10 and technically wouldn't turn 17 until nineteen days after this photo was taken on August 21, 1946.
