         Presented here is a pairing sheet from the opening round of the 1949 Masters Tournament. Pairing sheets are often discarded after the tournament, so it is very difficult to find pairings sheets from earlier Masters Tournaments, especially one as old as 1949. The 1949 Masters Tournament is one of the most famous Masters Tournaments in history, as Green Jackets were first awarded to that year's winner Sam Snead and all prior Masters Champions.
