Merion Golf Club Replica
Putting Green Wicker Basket Standard
With Merion Golf Club re-introducing itself to the world last year at the U.S.
Open, golf fans (and collectors) cannot stop talking about Merion's famed wicker
basket standards, which it uses in place of pin flags. Since course-used wicker
baskets from Merion are virtually impossible to obtain, one local golfer took it
upon himself to create a handmade replica. This outstanding replica has the
look, feel and craftsmanship of Merion's own wicker basket standards - without
costing many thousands of dollars to obtain one. For the golfer who has
everything, this wicker standard is hand made in the USA, crafted from natural
round reed wicker, and has an all-metal pole.
This beautiful orange wicker basket standard is the popular
putting green size - nearly identical to the wickers found of Merion's own
putting green. It measures 35", and includes a putting cup base and embroidered
canvas cover.
A great alternative to a near impossible real one costing a
couple thousand dollars.
