Cliff Roberts Handwritten Letter
and Business Card
Augusta National co-founder Clifford Roberts was famously a stickler for
details. Offered here is a perfect example of Roberts' ways. This is a
handwritten letter from Clifford Roberts from his house in the Bahamas to his
Augusta National executive assistant Kathryn Murphy. In the letter, Roberts
discusses the correct use of the term green fees vs greens fees, and attaches a
golf digest article for Mrs. Murphy to pass along to ANGC General Manager Phil
Wahl. This letter comes with its original mailing envelope to Augusta National
Golf Club. Also included here is a note in response to Clifford Roberts from
Kathryn Murphy, as well an an original business card of Clifford Roberts from
his financial company.
