Bobby Jones Holes a Putt at
1929 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Wire Photo
The caption on the back of this 1929 photograph describes the
scene quite well: "The picturesque view of the Winged Foot Club course at
Mamoroneck, N.Y., was taken just as Bobby Jones, of Atlanta, Ga., was putting
for the eighteenth hole in the national open championship tournament."
Bobby Jones, of course, went on to win the tournament - the
1929 U.S. Open., making this photo a rare original photograph from one of Jones'
12 Major Championship victories. This 8x10" original photograph is in excellent
condition.
