Grand Opening Announcement Photo

    This is a rare original photograph distributed by wire services in 1933 to announce the Grand Opening of Augusta National. The title of the wire tag on the reserve says it all: "Bobby Jones' 'Perfect' Golf Course To Open January 13th"
The photo itself depicts the 10th hole at Augusta National. But keep in mind that this is what we know today as the 1st hole, as the nines at Augusta were reversed prior to the 1935 Masters Tournament to the current layout. This photo measures 8x10" and is in excellent condition.
