        The 1971 British Open at Royal Birkdale was the historic 100^th playing of the world’s oldest golf tournament.  It did not disappoint, with Lee Trevino winning in exciting fashion over a little known player from Taiwan, Lu Liang-Huan.  Presented here is a rare 1971 Contestant’s Badge and Bag Tag belonging to the runner up that year, Lu Liang-Huan.

        Contestant's pins from Major Championships are extremely hard to find. Only 150 contestant's pins existed in 1971 - one for each player - and a substantial amount less likely survive today.
