FROM JH TAYLOR'S PERSONAL COLLECTION

        In 1985, our consignor purchased what remained of the great J.H. Taylor's personal collection from Taylor's daughter Phyllis Plumtree. The photographs and other mementos came directly from the Taylor family home in Bideford, North Devon. Now, for the very first time, we have the privilege of offering these original photographs once owned by 5-time Open Champion John Henry Taylor.

        Offered here are two early stereoview cards and one photograph. All three were once owned by the great J.H. Taylor. Included in this lot are two Bay State Publishing stereoview cards - one of Taylor and the other of his friend and rival Harry Vardon. Also included is a 2 1/2" x 4 3/8" snapshot of James Braid in later life.
