1951 Masters Tournament Medallion

        Offered here is the rare heavy bronze medallion that was given to contestants, dignitaries and special media in attendance at the 1951 Masters Tournament. They are truly impressive in person and this particular 2” diameter bronze medallion was presented to Lincoln Werden, the pioneering first President of the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association. 

        There since has been an award established in Werden’s name, which annually recognizes the golf journalist that best embodies the journalistic excellence in the tradition of Werden. Since 1984, The MET Golf Writers Association has bestowed this prestigious award on such individuals as Jim Nantz, Dan Jenkins, Bob Verdi, Judy Rankin, Bob Verdi, Dave Anderson and Nick Seitz.
