A. Patrick Long Nose Putter
Circa 1875
Offered here is a fine circa 1875 long nose putter by the famous clubmaker Alex Patrick of Leven, Scotland. The club is in excellent condition showing a nicely visible "A Patrick" marking on the head. The shaft exhibits a slight and intentional bend known as "The St. Andrews Curve" which was formed to "achieve proper angle for compatibility with the putting surface" (lie). The club exhibits very little wear and the Russet grip is of the time period and could be original. An extremely nice example of a long nose club by a well respected maker.
Listed in Georgiady's Woods Shafted Golf Clubs value guide at $2,000-$3,000.
