Unusual 1930s Golf Swing

Well this is certain an unusual practice device! This piece contains 6” long spikes for staking it in the ground, and a rotating wood cylinder with a 6” long arm and mounted dimple pattern golf ball at the end of the arm. It is in good working order, and dates to approximately the 1930s.
