Before Tom Doak became a famous golf course designer, he created a brutally honest book about some of the country’s most famous golf course. He held back no punches in his criticism of Jack Nicklaus courses and others.

But this isn’t just any version of this rare book, this is the rare 1989 2nd Edition of only 20 books that were produced for friends of Doak. This crudely-made edition was literaly made on a printer with a simple black report cover.

Because of how crude this book is, even we didn’t know if it was authentic, as we’ve never encountered this rare book before. So we reached out to Tom Doak, and yep, this is the real deal!
