There have been many popular references on collecting golf books over the years, some better than others. Here we have no doubt one of the hardest to find and most coveted early examples, a 1938 1st Edition copy of Collecting Golf Books 1743-1938 by Cecil Hopkinson. This is a great early reference on golf book collection.

The book is clean, tight and in good condition other than a couple small chips missing from its front cover. The previous owner had a custom clamshell case produced, to house and protect the book. Gilchrist’s Guide to Golf Collectibles lists the value at $2,750.
