Re-Made Gutta Percha Golf Balls 

Here is a rare and Near Full Box of B.G.I. Re-Made Gutta Percha Golf Balls that were made sometime between the 1890’s and very early 1900’s. As was the case during the time period, gutta percha balls were so prone to break, that the official rule was to play the larger portion of the broken ball if it happened during a match.

Subsequently, the broken gutta purcha pieces would be heated, re-formed and sold in a new package such as this one. In total Eleven B.G.I. (Bridgeport Gun Implement Co.) Remade Gutta Percha balls are included. The original box is in fair to good condition for the age.
