Rare Early 1900s Gerz Stoneware Whisky Jug
with Original Cork Stopper

This is a rare early 1900s Gerz Stoneware Whisky Jug with original cork stopper. This jug is in good condition with some minor surface imperfections (only original firing flaws, not damage) and one very minor rim chip on the base rim. No cracks or repairs. Par of the stopper cork is missing, though much remains. An unusual color a most of these were made in shades of blue or dark gray.  Made by Simon Peter Gerz, with golf scene in relief and saltglazed. Marked 041.
