Tony Lema Signed
Official Tournament Scorecard
One of the rarest post-war golf autographs to obtain is that of 1964 Open Champion Tony Lema. "Champagne Tony" was quite literally the toast of the golf world after his victory at St Andrews. Unfortunately his career was abruptly cut short when he died at the age of 32 in a plane crash after leaving the 1966 PGA Championship. Due to his oversized popularity during both life and after death, Lema's autographs are coveted by collectors but authentic examples are rare.
Offered here is a rare official golf tournament scorecard that has been autographed by Tony Lema. In fact, since Lema was the marker for this tournament round, the entire scorecard (except for playing partner Dave Ragan's autograph) is in Lema's own handwriting.
The scorecard has been framed along size a great photo of Champagne Tony to an overall size of 16" x 22".
