1950s Augusta National
 Green Jacket

This is an original Augusta National Golf Club Member's Green Jacket. And not just any Green Jacket, this jacket from the 1950s is one of the earliest Green Jackets ever offered for sale. Even better, this jacket is new to the collector market. It is being consigned directly from the family whose father owned the jacket while he was an Augusta National member several decades ago. This jacket was custom made in the '50s by the then-popular Cullum's department store in downtown Augusta. The jacket is very similar to the Cullum's Green Jacket awarded to Doug Ford for winning the 1957 Masters Tournament. It also contains the early “Augusta National” script buttons.

The number of original Green Jackets that have been able to leave the premises of Augusta National Golf Club is a finite number. The few that have become available for public auction are no doubt tucked away in private collections. This Green Jacket, however, has never seen the light of day. It has remained part of the late Augusta National member's possessions since he first took it home over a half century ago.
