Modern Golf
by Harold Hilton
A fierce debate could ensue if posed the question, “Was Harold H. (Horsfall) Hilton a more skilled golfer or writer?” Of course we know that the accomplished late 19th century/early 20th century English amateur golfer won many historic tournaments, including the British Amateur 4 times, the Open Championship 2 times and the US Amateur once. What many don’t realize is Hilton’s writing prowess, as he was the first editor of Golf Monthly, and also the editor of Golf Illustrated. Adding to that writing resume is the book we have here, a 1922 Second Edition of Modern Golf. The book is in good condition with a nice tight binding and would make a great addition to any collection.
