Harold Hilton Signed Album Page
from Joe Kirkwood's Personal Collection

Offered here is a wonderful signature of Harold Hilton (1869-1942), which comes from the personal collection of Australian star Joe Kirkwood and which was secured at the 1923 Open Golf Championship.  It measures 4 1/2" x 6 3/4" and is written in fountain pen on a light green album page.  Hilton added an invaluable, whimsical inscription listing his Major Championships (2 Open Championships, 4 British Amateurs & 1 US Amateur) and added "Always a better player of trick shots than Joe Kirkwood. Perhaps?”  The autograph was part of a massive 25-year accumulation of rare golf autographs by noted collector Mark Emerson and comes with his letter of authenticity.
