Gene Sarazen Handwritten Letter
Critical of Augusta National Golf Club Decision

We’ve had the honor of auctioning a couple handwritten letters by the great champion Gene Sarazen before.  Each time they have drawn great interest from collectors.  With the letter here, it is not just the author that makes it valuable, but the content as well.  Dated 2-9-76, Sarazen pens a handwritten letter critical of Augusta's controversial decision to play one extra hole should the Masters end in a tie.  The 1935 Masters Champion says it's terrible to end a major with one shot.  This rare and original handwritten and signed 1976 letter from the great Gene Sarazen is in good condition.
