The 1st PGA Championship was held in 1916, but was canceled the next two years due to World War I. In 1918, a tournament was held at North Shore Country Club that was a replacement tournament of sorts. Offered here is well-regarded golfer Tom Kerrigan's runner-up silver medal from that 1918 tournament at North Shore. Note the red, white & blue ribbon celebrating the war effort.
