Lot Description  

Archie Compston Signed Letterhead

Archie Compston (1893-1962) competed on the 1st three Ryder Cup teams. He's also well known for his exhibition with Walter Hagen, where he defeated Hagen by the unprecedented score of 18 & 17 in a scheduled 72 hole match. Archie signed this 4 1/2" x 7" letter boldly in fountain pen.
