Rare Iron Head Dot Punched Face Sunday Stick (Walking Stick)

In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, golf themed walking sticks were extremely popular.  These walking sticks were also called Sunday sticks or Sabbath sticks, and they were supposedly the golf enthusiasts' answer to the Church of Scotland discouraging golf on Sundays.  So essentially, these Sabbath sticks were golf clubs that were disguised as walking sticks, with the club head comfortably fitting in the palm of the golfer's hand, until feeling unobserved, the stick was reversed and a few strokes were played.

This is a rare Iron Head Dot Punched Face Walking Stick that has many makers’ marks on the back of the head.  The Stick is brass tipped and shows an anchor cleek mark.
