Here it is, a 1997 Masters Tournament Souvenir Package
that includes the holy grail of tournament-sold golf flags, an ultra rare, unsigned 1997 Masters
Embroidered Flag.
This very flag started
the golf flag craze in the late 90s and early 2000s. This fully embroidered
flag was only sold at the 1997 Masters Tournament. The flag sold out very
quickly in the merchandise tent in 1997. Then, after Tiger Woods' historic
first Major Championship victory, it seemed that every golf collector had to
have this flag. Before this flag and that tournament, there wasn't a re-sale
market for souvenir golf flags. With this flag leading the way, that soon changed. The
1997 Masters flag was the first unsigned souvenir flag to ever sell for over $100; the
first to sell for over $1,000; and the first to ever sell for over $4,000. With
virtually all of the 1997 Masters flags now signed by Tiger, this is a rare
chance to obtain an unsigned flag.
Along with the 1997
Masters Flag, this packed 1997 Masters lot also includes a Journal,
Tuesday Ticket, Spectator Guide and Commemorative Pin.
