Offered here is the hard find brass season badge from the 1938 US Open, which was won by Ralph Guldahl at Cherry Hills Country Club. The badge is well-known to collectors due to its unusual shape and material. Quite amazingly, also included in this lot is an original 1938 US Open ball marker. Without question, this is the earliest legitimate ball marker that we have ever seen. This ball marker was produced for the 1938 US Open decades before the practice became commonplace.
