Lot Description  

 

Ben Hogan always maintained that he won five US Opens, not four. Hogan (and some historians) count the 1942 Hale America Open, as it replaced the US Open after the USGA was forced to cancel it due to World War II.

Offered here is an 8 1/2" x 11" magazine page depicting a happy Ben Hogan after winning the 1942 Hale America Open, which has been autographed by Hogan.
