In this lot, we are pleased to offer a substantial collection of original Bobby Jones wire photographs. These 12 photographs include some rarities. One of the most significant photos in this lot is an 8 x 10 photograph that depicts a young Bobby Jones driving the ball. The wire slug on the reverse says that it is Jones driving the ball at Winged Foot Golf Club in 1929, though we believe the image to be of Jones from the mid-1920s.

 The other photos offered here include Bobby Jones accepting the Sullivan Award in 1931. Also featured are a 1931 Bobby Jones radio address, as well as photos of Bobby Jones in his service uniform, and a later photo of Jones with President Dwight Eisenhower. Rounding out the collection are original photographs of Bobby Jones with Ty Cobb and Gary Player.
