Presented here is the 1904 Alex Anderson spring face "ZoZo" gun metal putter. According to Jeff Ellis in his essential book The Clubmaker's Art, while many clubmakers experimented with gun metal putters, very few gun metal mallet putters were ever produced. This was Anderson's attempt at creating the ideal putter for the rubber-core golf ball, which has recently dominated the golf industry.
