Offered here is a high grade 1st generation Robert Forgan long nose wood. From 1856 (when he took over Hugh Philp's business upon Philp's death) to 1863, Forgan stamped his clubs with a large "R. Forgan" stamp. In 1863, Forgan added a Prince of Wales plume, and later switched stamps altogether to a smaller "R. Forgan" stamp.

This is one of those coveted 1st generation Forgans. Later in his career Forgan had a substantial number of employees; those later clubs cannot be confused with a true 1st generation Forgan - which are among the finest specimens in the hobby.

This 36" long baffing spoon is exceptional. It contains its original shaft and even the original grip. The ram's horn and lead weight are tight and original.
