This 34" putter is attractive to both golf and military collectors. The bronze head is engraved “MADE FROM BRONZE PROPELLERS FROM H.M.S. VINDICTIVE ZEEBRUGGE 1918 J. STONE & C- Ltd LONDON." Together with a report on the amazing and heroic exploits of this British warship and its men which mounted a crushing blow in WWI against the Nazi submarine offensive at the seaport of Zeebrugge Belgium. Then the Vindictive was deliberately sunk to block the harbor only to be later resurfaced and salvaged including making of souvenirs or awards such as this putter. It is not known how many putters were made but this is only the second one that a major collector has seen in 40 years of collecting clubs.
