The 1934 Masters Tournament Program is one of golf collecting's most iconic pieces. The pale green program for the "Augusta National Invitation Tournament" was know to fetch over $10,000 even 30+ years ago. It is has been widely reported that two dozen examples exist, though the actual number is likely a little higher. With only a handful of items from the first "Masters" around, this important program will likely grow in value for decades to come.
Offered here is one of the only autographed 1934 Masters Programs that we've ever seen. This program was likely once owned by local patron who attended the Masters each year, as it is autographed by 18 golfers who participated in the 1938 Masters. Those autographs include those of Major Champions Ralph Guldahl, Willie MacFarlane, Byron Nelson, Tony Manero, and Sam Parks, Jr. What also really catches our eye is the autograph of a Rookie that was playing in his first Masters Tournament in 1938 - Ben Hogan.
