Offered here is a rare Willie Dunn Rut Iron. Willie Dunn designed and built Ardsley CC (originally called Ardsley Casino), and Dunn was their first professional in 1896. The eagle cleek mark on the offered club dates to this same period, 1895-1896, according to Pete Giorgiady's well-regarded book on cleekmarks. This is the only cleek mark that Dunn is known to have used by himself. Later clubs did not use this mark.
