Offered here is a rare F.H. (Frank) Belwood Schenectady-style putter. Belwood was the Pro at Garden City Golf Club during most of Walter Travis years and into the 1950s. This putter is styled on the original Schenectady center shaft putter, which is quite interesting considering it was Travis himself that used an original Schenectady to win the 1903 US Amateur. After Travis triumphed in the 1904 British Amateur with the odd-looking putter, the R&A was not happy and thereafter banned it from all tournaments that it governed. The Belwood putter is in excellent condition. 37".
