Offered here is a single-signed Major Championship flag missing from almost every collection - a Payne Stewart autographed 1999 US Open flag. Even better, this is the coveted embroidered flag, though any Payne Stewart signed '99 US Open flag is certainly worth its weight in golf. In our 11 year history, we've only located 4 single-signed Payne Stewart 1999 US Open flags, and none have been the highly desired white embroidered flag. The most recent one we offered was a yellow screen printed flag that brought $4,272 in 2012. That's how rare these flags are. 

The 1999 US Open was, of course, one of the most legendary finishes in history - when Payne Stewart drained a 15 foot putt to win, and simultaneously break the heart of father-to-be Phil Mickelson. Then, just four months later, Payne Stewart was taken from us forever. 

Condition note: The flag has a stain to the left of the logo. It seems to be magnified when photographed, and does not appear as bold in person. We have made no attempts at cleaning or bleaching the flag, though we presume the eventual owner will attempt this improvement.
