The Life
Association of Scotland calendars of the early 1900s produced some of
golf's great images. Unfortunately, they can seldom be found in even
decent condition, and many of the prints have since been removed from the original calendar. Offered here is the most desirable Life Association calendar
ever produced - the 1908 Old Tom Morris calendar. This calendar was
produced in 1907 for the 1908 calendar year, which means that Old Tom
was still alive and likely approved the use of this image for the
insurance company. The timing was fortuitous, as Tom Morris passed away
on May 24, 1908 - while this calendar was still in use. It measures 17 1/2" x 22" and is a heavy cardboard stock. This is by far the highest grade Tom Morris Life Association calendar that we've ever seen.
