Presented here is a very early golf trophy from Inwood Country Club on the South Shore of Long Island. Inwood's first 9 hole course was laid out in 1901, and expanded to 18 holes in 1906. Widespread acclaim shortly followed, and Inwood would soon become one of only a handful of golf courses to host both a US Open and PGA Championship. Even better, Inwood's pedigree for producing memorable Champions is second to none. The two Major Championships hosted by Inwood Country Club, the 1921 PGA Championship and 1923 US Open, produced Walter Hagen and Bobby Jones as Champions. This 1913 trophy is from Inwood's annual Labor Day Tournament. It stands 6 3/4" tall x 6 1/2" handle to handle.
