Lot Description  

This is an original unused ticket from the 1999 US Open, which was won by Payne Stewart in dramatic fashion over Phil Mickelson. This ticket went unused, as it is for the Playoff that never happened when Payne Stewart famously sank his putt on the 72nd hole and unleashed a celebration that is commemorated to this day with a bronze statue at Pinehurst.
