This is an early 1900s porcelain figure modeled after the most famous painting in golf history, The Blackheath Golfer. There have been some modern castings of this piece that were very crudely done, but this is a rare original. The piece is in excellent condition with minor age cracks and wear to the base. These are fairly fragile, particularly the clubs, and are seldom found with the entire piece intact. This example is complete with no chips, cracks or repairs.
Made by Staffordshire in the early 1900s. Stands over 9" tall.
